Dear Missioners and Saints,
I would like to welcome everyone back to church for the fall season. I hope that you had an awesome summer with your family and friends and will return rested and enlivened to engage in the mission and ministry of Holy Trinity Church and The Harlem Valley Ministry.
During the summer months we have been busy with preparations for the fall and I want to share this information with you. A highlight will be the start of Healing Services and New Stewardship Opportunities.
Our Rally Day this year is Sunday September 16th. Join us for Eucharist followed by our parish barbeque on the front lawn. I encourage all of you to invite your family and friends to this celebration. It is a great opportunity to catch up with old friends and to make some new ones. I also would like for all of you to bring a photo of yourself, of your family and/or pets for a community collage which will be titled “Missioner and Saints”.
Sunday School begins at 9:45 am on Rally Day, September 16th. If you have family or friends or neighbors with school aged children looking for Sunday School, please invite them to check us out. On this day we will also hold a “Blessing of Backpacks” for the upcoming school year. I invite anyone attending school or starting a new employment opportunity to bring a backpack, binder, lunch box, a briefcase or a laptop to be blessed during the 10 am Mass.
The Choir is back from its summer sabbatical. Rehearsal begins at 9am and anyone who loves to sing is welcome to join them.
On a personal note, Jaeger and I have missed seeing everyone and I am looking forward to having our parish family back together once more.
Peace and Blessing,
The Reverend Juan F. Perez, Jr.
